Brasserie „Oekosoph”: an original place nestled in the „Oekozenter Pafendall“
You are looking for a cosy place in Luxembourg to linger and relax? To chill during lunch-break, to spend some time after work, before or after a cinema visit? Or an evening with friends enjoying excellent food? A restaurant that besides the meat classics also offers a variety of vegetarian and vegan dishes? In line with the „nose to tail “concept, choosing regional and seasonal ingredients, respecting a no waste philosophy!? Then this is YOUR place: Brasserie “Oekosoph”, embedded in the picturesque Pafendall, where (almost) everything is naturally organic …
The Brasserie does not only impress through its menu and attractive location, but also through its original concept. It is run by Chef Lou Steichen (former chef of „ Aeppel a Biren “restaurant), on one hand, and a group of dedicated volunteer members of Mouvement Ecologique, on the other hand.
From Monday up to and including Saturday, Lou pampers his guests amongst others with a choice of daily dishes at noon; from Thursday until Saturday evening, with a dinner menu.
The furnishing of «Oekosoph» corresponds to a creative recycling concept, reusing and thus giving a second life to old Café pieces of furniture that are now combined with a modern ambience.
The location (from across “Sang a Klang”) enchants with a sunny terrace overlooking the “Alzette”, Park “Odendall”, the Upper town district and the „Bockfiels“. It can be reached in 10 minutes by the panoramic lift from the Upper city (e.g. „Glacis“-parking field), or by the “Funiculaire” coming from “Kirchberg”, or by walking from the nearest train stop. It is definitely worth a visit!
